M PRESENTS PUBLISHING is looking for stories and books for publication:

BOOK PUBLICATION

NOVELETTE (25,000-49,999 words)
NOVELLA (50,000-69,000 words)
NOVEL (70,000+ words; note that first-time published authors should not
submit a work longer than 100,000 words)

M PRESENTS is a horror publisher and all stories should fit in that genre. While books can be any of the listed lengths, it is highly recommended that first-time authors release a novel between 70,000 and 100,000 words in length.

Submissions should include the following documents in three separate files:

• A Query Letter not to exceed 1,000 words
• A Summary of the story not to exceed 1,000 words, double-sided, written in Arial or Times New Roman
• The first 1,000 words of your complete novel.

PAYMENT
Authors will be paid, at a minimum: 

• 60% of royalties
• A digital copy of the book
• A physical copy of the book (US only)

Authors can buy additional books, at cost, to sell themselves or give away as they wish.

ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSION

M PRESENTS PUBLISHING is a horror publisher that releases anthologies (typically twice per year) centered around a specific theme which will be announced in relation with the submission call.

SUBMISSION

• Stories between 3,000-5,000 words should include the following:
• The story should be complete and edited to the author’s satisfaction. M Presents may choose to perform further edits, but any changes aside from spelling/grammar will be performed with the author’s consent.
• Stories should include the author’s information (Name & By Line if different, email address, and general word count). While this information is also required in the submission form, it should be provided here as well.
• A 250-word ‘About the Author’ at the end of the story, proceeded by some way to differentiate it from the story itself. This should be written in the 3rd person and may include up to three links. While this should also be included in the submission form, it is not required there but must appear in the story.

LIMINAL MADNESS NOW OPEN:

Looking for: fiction pieces with a horror element with a focus on Liminal Spaces. While there is only one planned anthology, if a sufficient number of entries are received, a second anthology will also be released, title TBD.  Stories by LGBTQ+ and POC authors are welcome, disclosure is unnecessary and won't be asked.

Not looking for: erotica, pornography, stories suggesting sexual abuse or child endangerment in a tactless way; if you wouldn't want to read it, do you think I will? Stories written by AI.

Payment: Royalties and a digital copy of the book. If you wish to buy a physical copy yourself, it will be made available to you at cost; but it is entirely optional if you wish to do that. 

Submission length: 3000-5000 words; only one per author, new and unpublished works only

RPG SUBMISSION

M PRESENTS releases tabletop roleplaying content in association with DriveThruRPG. Writers can query content for any of the publications available to the public.

• SCP:0 is an action/horror game based on the SCP universe and is primarily horror or horror adjacent.
• THE LOST WORLD is based on the story ‘The Lost World’ by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and is an adventure game in a land dominated by dinosaurs.
• CYBER is a cyberpunk game of the dark future where people live in a world of robots and are able to swap bodies, inclusion of sci-fi & horror is recommended.

It is recommended that writers be familiar with the various series that they wish to write in.

SUBMISSION:
