Halloween is my favorite time of the year, and this year I ran a Call of Cthulhu (combining the scenarios "Arachnophobia" and "Children of the Web") scenario based entirely on one of the most common fears: arachnophobia. If you play Call of Cthulhu by Chaosium, you can pick up my scenario "Arachnophobia" on DriveThruRPG.
Some of it is rough (thanks GIMP for your cropping "excellence") but hopefully enjoyable. And it's under an hour! Remember to Like and Subscribe, it's a free way to support the channel, enjoy.
People sometimes ask what we discuss before recording the game sessions. While everyone is double-checking their audio, using the bathroom once more before a 2 hour session, we talk about anything but the game. There's no reviewing what happened (I'll answer questions but that's about it). As we're from all over the world, we talk about events that impact us... such as the hording of toilet paper.
This month marks the 98th anniversary of Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft (it was released in the February 1928 edition of Weird Tales). From my video history and, if you're familiar with my writing, you know that Call of Cthulhu has been very impactful for me (the author's own views aside). So, in honor of that, here's a video of Call of Cthulhu.
One more thing to add as this is just a small comment on things becoming more and more horrific in this country (The US). I will not be knowingly doing business of any kind with I.C.E. agents. I cannot speak for all of my distributors but I cannot, in good faith, support them and their crimes. I will, from time to time, hold a charity event to support victims of ICE because monsters don't belong on our streets, they belong on the page.
As a horror publisher, Halloween is a party at M Presents. If you haven't already picked up a copy, Liminal Madness was just released last month. Don't forget about Madness by Firelight, Dead of Winter, Descent Into Madness, Enter Madness, or any of the other M Presents titles. If you're looking for a last-minute TTRP game to play, M Presents also has several titles for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game by Chaosium and the recently released SCP:0 game offers players a chance to fight and capture horrors.
I also recently ran a pair of victims volunteers through the modern Call of Cthulhu scenario: Undertow. I've linked the video below. Please subscribe to the YouTube channel (If the video doesn't play, you MAY have to go directly to YouTube to view it).
